Caravaca de la Cruz

Caravaca Cross with a beautiful old rosary, beads of bone, ebony and cherry seed with heavy brass chain. The second layer is hand-wired with antique venetian, african and berber trad beads, nepalese metal beads, a unique paste rhinestone buckle for the clasp. The cross reprsents a special story. In the 1200's, a Moorish King became curious about the last Supper...Communion and asked for a demonstration from a Christian missionary. Everything was prepared, the wine, the bread...but the missionary did not have a cross. Suddenly, the King saw something in the window. The heavens opened and two Angels were carrying in a cross, said to contain pieces of the true cross from Christ's crucifixtion. The King and his family converted to Christianity upon seeing the miracle. A remarkable necklace with such rich historical significance. The cross is an everyday reminder of miracles.
