An ancient megalodon shark fossil pendant is surrounded by beautiful hand-carved beads made of bone and turquoise and combined with handmade buffalo nickel coin beads to create these unique pieces that celebrate the history of our Algonquin ancestors. The tribes that made up the Algonquin Indian Nation lived throughout North America for centuries and left their mark on today’s culture through the many artifacts they left behind. The tribes collected fossilized shark teeth that were plentiful in areas like Calvert Cliffs, Maryland and used them to make tools and jewelry. The tradition continues today.
